Al Mohamadia Stud began as the vision of HH Prince Abdullah bin Fahad Al Saud. As part of his royal heritage, Prince Abdullah began to study the origins and significance of the Arabian horse in its homeland. Since its inception, Al Mohamadia has focused on breeding high quality, typey, athletic horses to compete in the International show arenas.

From the beginning in 2006 many popular and famous bloodlines have been added with the philosophy of acquiring beautiful, well-bred young stock to show that can later benefit the breeding program. Great horses like Abha Palma, Abha Qatar, Shannan El Madan, and Van Gogh AM have gone on to win World Champion titles and produce champions. Sara Al Mohamadia, Mansour Al Mohamadia, Dana Al Mohamadia, Salman Al Mohamadia, Reeman Al Mohamadia, Mystica Strike , TS Madeleine, Saida Bint Shahlia, and Reema Al Mohamadia have also won major titles.

For 2013 the magnificent Abha Qatar son from Australia, Prussia MI, was added to the program. So far he has won Gold Championships at Scottsdale International Classic, Las Vegas Breeders Cup, and the prestigious Menton, France Title show. He was recently Silver Champion Yearling Colt at the All Nations Cup. We are very excited about his future as a breeding stallion. The Beautiful Valentinos Angel MI Made her Eruopean debut at the All Nations Cup as a two year old class winner and Bronze Champion Filly. Mashoor Al Mohamadia, sired by World Champion Abha Qatar and out of World Champion Abha Palma, already a Saudi National Champion colt, won Gold Champion colt at the Boutheib Breeders Cup. The Charismatic Abha Qatar filly, Deem AM, was Bronze Champion filly at the Breeders European Champioship in Chantilly, France. The offspring of Savio also fared well with Basma Al Mohamadia winning Dubai International Bronze Champion Yearling filly. Salma Al Mohamadia and Maha Al Mohamadia also won titles this Spring. The first get of Shannan El Madan entered competition this year with Miglad Al Mohamadia being named Silver Champion Yearling colt at the Prince Sultan International Arabian horse festival and Tala Al Mohamadia placing well in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Boutheib.

Al Mohamadia got off to a great start for 2014 with a Gold Champion, 2 Silver Champions, and a Bronze Champion at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Arabian Horse Festival in Riyadh. Great results and more champions at Abu Dhabi International, HH Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan show, Sharjah International, and Dubai shows. Two more Al Mohamadia champions, Sultana AM and Najd AM were introduced at the Bruges Arabian Horse Festival.

A recent addition, Valentino’s Angel, already an Australian National Champion, continued her winning ways with Bronze Champion Filly at the World Cup in Las Vegas and winning unanimous Canadian National Champion Mare.

At the Saudi Arabian Breeders cup in September, Gold Champions Nagim AM, Basma Al Mohamadia, Shagran Al Mohamadia,  Nawaf Al Mohamadia, Silver Champion Salma Al Mohamadia, and Bronze Champion Ghalia AM, helped Al Mohamadia win the Leading Stable and Best Breeder award.

Van Gogh AM has received an overwhelming reception since arriving at Midwest in Arizona with over 65 mare booked.

HH Prince Abdullah's father, HH Prince Fahd bin Abdullah Al Saud, shares this passion for the Arabian horse and is involved in all decisions and planning. Both enjoy visits to the stables as often as possible to monitor the progress of the horses and breeding decisions.

Bruce McCrea, originally a consultant to Prince Abdullah, has been the General Manager for Al Mohamadia Stud since 2008. He resides with his family in Riyadh and oversees show and breeding operations in the Middle-East, Europe, and America. He and his wife, Karin, both judge Arabian horse shows throughout the world. Al Mohamadia stud farm is located in the center of one of the largest commercial date tree operations in Saudi Arabia, 70 kilometers south east of Riyadh. A state of the art facility has been built, with 80 stalls, several horse walkers, equine swimming pool, grass paddocks, lunge arenas, viewing tents, offices and hospital/breeding facilities.
